You heard that right! Our very own Chef Hilda Baci is officially back in the Guinness World Records books. Fresh off her famous cook-a-thon, she’s now set a new record for creating the biggest pot of jollof rice in Nigeria!
The news came directly from Guinness World Records, which shared the exciting update on Instagram yesterday. This incredible feat was a collaboration with Gino Nigeria.
According to the official post, the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice weighed in at a mind-blowing 8,780 kg! Hilda shared some amazing details about the process, revealing it took “nine hours of fire, passion, and teamwork” and a whopping 1,200 kg of gas. The best part? This record-breaking pot produced 16,600 plates of jollof rice, which she said were “served with joy, love, and community.”
It’s clear that Hilda Baci continues to make Nigeria proud on the world stage!
