Former President Mohammadu Buhari who died on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at London is finally laid to rest in his hometown.
Before he was laid to the ground, his body was wrapped with two National flag with was later unwrapped by Army officers and was given to a member of his family.
The body was laid to rest under the Islamic burial rites with the President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Shettima, present and former governors of states, ministers, lawmakers and military officials present.
Political party members and friends of the deceased were also present at the funeral.
Late Gen. Mohammadu Buhari was buried at exactly 5:50pm after the Islamic burial rites was done by the Islamic leaders and final salute from the Armed Forces with several gunshots salute in Daura, Katsina State.
Mohammadu Buhari is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
