Breaking: Nigerian Star Rasheedat Ajibade Joins PSG Féminines

Rasheedat Busayo

Nigerian football star Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade has made a landmark move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe, officially joining French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Féminines. The transfer will see her link up with fellow Super Falcons teammate and midfielder, Jennifer Echegini, bringing a powerful Nigerian presence to the club.

PSG confirmed the signing in a statement, welcoming the Nigerian forward on a contract that extends until June 30, 2027.
Speaking after her official unveiling, the Super Falcons captain, affectionately known as ‘Mummy G.O.’, expressed her gratitude and excitement. She described the transfer as a “major step” that marks a new, ambitious chapter in her already decorated career.

Ajibade’s move follows a spectacular period for the forward. Just weeks ago, she led Nigeria’s Super Falcons to their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, a record-extending triumph that cemented Nigeria’s dominance on the continent. Her exceptional leadership and performance throughout the tournament earned her the prestigious Player of the Tournament award.
